My Fledgeling Idea

Greetings everyone, and welcome to Dinner's On Me.

A friend of mine recently had an idea to post her weekly dinner menus on a blog for others to use and then share their own. While that is a great idea, I thought I would take it one step further. I do a lot of recipe sharing with family and friends, and a recipe blog would make that sharing even easier. I also wanted my friends and family to have the chance to share THEIR recipes as well.

I am in the process of listing some of our family's favorite recipes. While I work on that, please feel free to email me or comment here on the blog. I'm interested to hear your input on what would be helpful to you - menus, recipes, cookbook listings, other fun recipe links????

Check back here soon, and in the meantime, HAPPY COOKING!

Andy

Andy, I love this idea! I'm so bored right now with our food. Do you ever feel like you're eating the same 4 meals over and over. John and I have been into making Thai food lately. I will post our pad Thai recipe as soon as I find a place to buy some fish sauce in Logan. Also, I would love ideas on what to do with a crockpot. I feel like I'm not taking advantage of mine like I should. I can't wait to hear what other people are making for dinner!

Thanks for the feedback Brielle, and yes I totally feel like I'm eating the same 4 meals! Also, I like your crockpot suggestion. I'll be sure to make a crockpot recipe category!

Love the idea - you know how Cream of Wheat every morning gets!!

I am trying a Zesty Minestrone soup tonite done in the crockpot.
I'll submit it if it's good. Course, I have to go light on the "zesty" part.

Our Women's Conference just did a Wellness Day and I am determined to eat and cook better. It's the butter part that I can't seem to part with. Oh Well.

ha, ha....ya I'm not much of a "zesty" person either mom. When you post the recipe, list it as the original, and then tell us what you did differently!
